Why Today Baldi?
Baldi! I hear you say, it's Sunday. Don't you post every Monday? Yes, very true, however, today being the last day of August, I wanted, for organisational sake to round everything off nicely, allowing me to begin again logically in September.
Do You Read?
Reading has always been one of my favourite hobbies as I feel it allows me to enter a new, exciting world, that of the Author, and be inspired by their creation.
When travailing I am certain to take a physical book,
my Kindle,
Phone,
Laptop, or
IPad everywhere I maybe able to read a few more pages.
In this vein, I am constantly expanding my inspired by Reading List which I hope inspires you, as much as reading, or listening to these inspiring titles have me.
Ideas for expansion
Late at night, when I'm doing something else, or, when reading, are the times when inspiration strikes. As a result, I have an ever growing list of cool things being added to Baldi's, A.K.A Amonn AL-Mahrouq's Home on The Web, including, updating the Index,

This weeks version of Baldi's Inspiring Blog will be far more concise, and informative as I am knee deep in expanding
my Web Site,
Web Coding Skills,
Writing,
and,
Editing Books.
Firstly, thank you all for continuing to read my Inspiring Blog Posts, which I not only hope inspires you, however motivates you to achieve more.
Secondly, in light of your comments, (do keep them flowing, they motivate me, honest!), I have, and will continue to expand, and update Baldi's Home on the Web with new, inspiring content regularly.
Thirdly, over the course of the next few weeks, I will be adding a page dedicated to some of the most
inspiring books I have read, or listened to.

Fusion Indian Cuisine

For me, Sunday equals "Family Day". A day we all get together, catch up, enjoy inspiring company, and of course, delicious food.
This past Sunday was no different!
A short drive away is a favourite of ours,
"Bombay Bay, Indian Bar, and, Fusion Restaurant".
Located in the heart of
"Southsea Marina",
"Bombay Bay"
offers a selection of
Outdoor, and
Indoor seating.
Browsing through their
extensive menu, consisting of Traditional, and Fusion Food, there is a
Curry to suit everyone's tastes.
From Indian Classics, such as
Tandoori Roti, to
Chicken, or Lamb Korma, to Dhansak, to side dishes like,
Spicy Bombay Potatoes,
Poppadom's, Onion Bhaji, to freshly made
Chilli Cheese Nann Bread,
to
"Bombay Bay's" signature Fusion Main Courses of, "Lime Bahar", and,
"Chicken Massaman",
to deserts like
Rich Chocolate Mousse.
Any strength, any combo, no problem...You won't leave hungry!
All good things come to those who wait, and in this case, it is well worth it as every dish is not only delicious, but lovingly prepared to order.
Inspiring food check, great company check, leaving me motivated to plot my
journey for this week, leading me to ask, where are you headed?
Home Grown Rocks

Following on from my motivational post, Food, Glorious Food! posted in July 2025,
sadly, our home grown
Figs,
and,
Strawberries have fizzled out,
however, we are enjoying a bumper crop of delicious,
Home Grown, Small, and,
Large Red Tomatoes, with,
some Big Yellow thrown in for good measure. Simply delicious!
We are also proud, and pleased with our
Home grown Aubergines, which are developing nicely,
leading me to ask, what are your goals for your forthcoming week?
Taste Of Belgium

One Tuesday Evening after an inspirational walk around "Our Great Waterfront City", my Cousin, and I, found ourselves in the beating heart of Southsea, headed in the direction of
"Kings Street Tavern",
where our local grapevine suggested delicious food was on the menu.
Unfortunately, not having booked, we were turned away due to the entire Tavern being booked for Graduation Celebrations.
Falling back on a favourite of ours, we headed on foot to "Elm Grove" and the popular,
"Huis", Belgium Bar, & Restaurant.
"Huis", in Flemish translates as "House" in English, which was apt, as the decor seemed to me like I was stepping into the front room of a "Home" rather than a formal Restaurant. Both different, and, inspirational, I thought.
Being seated promptly, we were greeted with an extensive "Home Cooked" Menu consisting mainly of Traditional Belgium Cuisine, along, with some classics.
Enjoying our
"Belgium Beer", we eagerly awaited our selection of snacks.
Our waiter brought,
a selection of Satay Meatballs, covered in a Peanut Butter, Coconut, and, Red Curry Paste Sauce, topped with roasted peanuts, and, a portion of
Moules Mariniere Classic, cooked with Garlic Butter, White Wine Sauce, garnished with Parsley for my Cousin.
In all, an excellent choice as their food was delicious, very moorish, and highly recommended by both of us.
The question you have all been waiting for. Would we return? Our answers. Yes, certainly! It's a massive thumbs us.
