Lunch At Marmion
Published 02 November
In the beating heart of Southsea resides,
"The Marmion House" Restaurant, located on the site of
"The Old Marmion Tea Stores" where my Family, friend, and I, enjoyed
a hearty, warm, and delicious
Sunday Lunch.
Can I recommend "The Marmion House" Restaurant? My, Baldi, A.K.A Amonn AL-Mahrouq's short answer is, Yes! Why? I hear you ask.
We all found the food to be:
Of good quality,
Served piping hot,
Their service to be prompt,
All their Waiters / Waitresses courteous, and obliging,
however,
One minor drawback is:
You must book in advance to avoid disappointment, especially when wanting to devour your Sunday Lunch here.
Afterwards, whilst taking a stroll in our local Park, we met an Austrian friend who introduced us to
a friendly Squirrel, who let Mum, and I
stroke him, or her.
As a thankyou we gave her, or him,
a nut to store in their Winter Larder. After returning a few times we said our good bye's, leading me to ask,
where are you headed this week?
Taste Of Turkey
Published October 27
Bodrum Restaurant,
located in the heart of Southsea, Hampshire, United Kingdom, serving authentic Turkish cuisine, and drinks.
For our Meze, we ordered
a Tomato, and Chili based Dip accompanied by lovely Turkish Bread.
Moving to our main course, we thoroughly enjoyed a simple,
however delicious Chicken Dish, cooked in Lemon Juice over a traditional Turkish Barbeque served with fresh salad.
Can I recommend Bodrum? In a word, yes! In fact so much so, my family, and I will be returning in a few weeks time.
In other news, I thoroughly enjoyed my first
Mince Pie of The 2025 Festive Season. Early, yes, however, delicious.

I continue to update daily, adding inspirational photos, and, re-writing text to inspire you.
Currently, I am focusing on my inspiring Books Recommendations page, which details all the Books, E-Books, and, Audio Books I have personally read, listened to, and, have been inspired by.
On Saturday morning, I popped down to my
Local Farmers Market, picking up lots of fresh fruit, and vegetables.
In the afternoon, whilst out, walking along our
local Prom, we were inspired by
this brave soul, leading me to ask,
what goals have you set for your forthcoming week?
Fan Detect Failure
Published October 13
My week began normally, however, last Monday afternoon saw two interesting changes in the behaviour of my PC:
It took increasingly longer to Shutdown,
and,
Performance felt sluggish.
As a big update had just landed, I thought nothing of both, and, carried on working.
However, after thoroughly enjoying my
Figure Skating session in
Guildford Spectrum Ice Rink,
and, having an inspiring
Piano Lesson on Tuesday afternoon, I booted up my PC, to be greeted with it being stuck in a Boot Loop.
After several forced restarts, I received a white screen informing me of a
CPU Fan Detect Failure. Strange, I thought, as it is only a year and a half old. Still, these things do randomly happen, don't they?
Long story short, a few days later, on Friday Afternoon a qualified technician appeared to replace the fan.
Although, my iPad Pro, and, Samsung S25 Ultra proved critical in allowing me to continue to function for most tasks, sadly though, not for
Web Development as I need the advanced functionality of a full desktop editor to code enhancements to Baldi's Home on the Web. The moral of my week? Although I have most files stored in various Cloud Systems, I now also have a backup Laptop with up-to-date software on standby just in case.
In other news, I have begun returning to Business as usual enhancing my Who Is Baldi with a Page Summary, and, will continue to roll out this useful feature to all critical pages in the coming weeks, leading me to ask,
What are your this week's goals?
