Our Friend Returns
Whilst walking home after our inspirational family lunch at The Marmion Restaurant, Southsea we chanced upon an inquisitive Squirrel sat on a piece of wood, looking right at us surveying his, or her environment. Quickly realising she, or he may be the same Squirrel we met last year, we cautiously approached as if asking if they remembered us.
Very soon our friendly Squirrel was running between our feet which felt to me like he, or she was trying to communicate, yes, yes! I am!
Taking the hint, when she, or he stopped, we cautiously approached as if saying "Hello friend", and to our delight recognised them. After letting us stroke him, or her we gave her, or him some nuts to store in their Winter Larder.
After returning a few times to add more nuts to their collection which we gave to him, or her as a thank you for letting us approach and stroke him, or her we said our goodbyes before they scurried off, calling out "See you soon" as he, or she disappeared into the distance.
My message: I very much believe our Animal Family friends all have memories and feelings, therefore, as Humans we should do as much as we can to help all our magical creature Families and communities, not just survive, but thrive alongside us, so they too can enjoy their life in harmony with us.
